Remember when I said I’d post the epic True Blood Feast?

I forgot about it for a second… plus a few days. And I warn you, this post is a little crazy like… ZOMGGGTRUEBLOOD4LYFE.

Obviously the theme was to make something red or True Blood related. I made Beef Burgundy to reflect the Hunter’s Souffle that crazy Maryann made season 2 and some Egg Noodles dredged in butter and parsley to compliment. My friend C made her signature Garlic Smashed Potatoes (Garlic upsets vampires, red potatoes) and my other friend C made a Beet Salad with bits of crushed walnuts and carrot and more magic (SO RED).

Other wonderful yumyums were Chocolate Macadamia Ice cream (to represent the werewolves) and a raspberry sorbet (a la the rose blood sorbet the King serves to Bill) and chips and salsa. Yum.

And then a True Blood cake. A block of lemon cake (leftover from the last cake I made) but with a raspberry/blueberry/strawberry filling and a tangy lemon buttercream exterior complete with 2 fang marks and berry sauce drizzling out. Delicious? A bit weird? Kind of… Shh, it’s okay.

I also haven’t baked this week. I think after the last cake I made, I’m feeling a bit burnt out. Will probably need to wait another week or two before I bake anything again. Or maybe just till the 4th of July…

Speaking of 4th of July… What should I make? Sweet? Savory? OR NOTHING?!
